Lucrecia Daltによるアルバム『A Danger to Ourselves』が9/5にRVNG Intl.からリリースされる。

コロンビア出身、ドイツはベルリンをベースに活動しているエクスペリメンタル・アーティスト、Lucrecia Dalt。

待望の新作となる本アルバムは、David Sylvianを共同プロデューサーに迎え、Juana MolinaやCamille Mandoki等豪華ゲスト陣も参加し、集大成であると同時に出発点とも言える新たな傑作。
Lucrecia Daltが『¡Ay!』のツアー中の生活や新しい人間関係の形成期に書き留めた断片的な宣言から生まれたという。

Lucrecia Daltは2024年1月に、これらの親密な断片を音楽的な構成に結晶化させ始め、目的のある曲群を徐々に形にしていった。
アルバムのサウンド構成は、コラボレーターのAlex Lázaroが提供するダイナミックなドラム・ループを基盤としており、そのパーカッシヴなバックボーンは、『¡Ay!』と同様、Daltの重層的なボーカルのキャンバスとなった。

従来のメロディックな構造に従うのではなく、このアルバムはベース・ライン、リズム、作曲デザインの相互作用によって音楽性を生み出している。
大胆なプロダクションの選択と緻密なレコーディング・テクニックによって、声と楽器が新たな深みと輝きをもって調和する、Daltの妥協のない音の明瞭さへの探求を明らかにしている。
